Muito, muito longe, desconhecido e intocado pela civilização humana, existe uma terra pacífica coberta de neve e gelo. Nesta terra branca, dentro de uma pequena floresta isolada, está uma pequena vila habitada por pequenos animais. Ninguém sabe como vieram morar na ilha, mas naturalmente passaram a morar juntos na aldeia situada no pequeno vale, onde o sol é mais quente e o vento frio é o menos forte. Na aldeia vive Pororo, um pinguim travesso muito curioso, o urso polar bem-humorado Poby, a raposa vermelha intrometida e presunçosa Eddy, o castorzinho tímido e tímido Loopy, a alegre menina pingüim Petty e o beija-flor feliz, Harry. Todos os nossos amigos têm personalidades distintas e interesses diferentes que às vezes causam poucas (e às vezes não tão pequenas) rachaduras em seu mundo branco calmo. Mas são todos bons amigos e sabem como ajudar uns aos outros em tempos difíceis.
