Esta é uma das clássicas unidades de TV com uma torção. O formato do show era tal que o público veria tudo o que o personagem homônimo do show veria, incluindo todas as pistas, e então, logo antes da cena final começar (você sabe... aquele onde todos os suspeitos são trazidos para a sala para o "VOCÊ... matou a vítima. E você fez isso porque..." cena, a estrela (Ellery Queen, é claro) iria para a audiência da TV e afirma "Ok, você tem todas as pistas. Sabe quem fez isso? Acho que sei. Você pode adivinhar? E o público teve a chance de fazer parte do show. Bastante único e metade da diversão.
